A weekend of yoga, meditation, relaxation, walks, amazing food and chill time, in the picturesque Yorkshire countryside.

5 yoga sessions (suitable for all)

Transport to and from the property

(keep around £20-25 for a starter and a main)

YOGA

All yoga will be taught by Claire in the barn attached to the house. Yoga will be a mix of Vinyasa Flow, Stretch & Relax, and Yin (suitable for all levels). If you are less mobile, you may want to sit out the Vinyasa Flow sessions. If not, please make sure you have attended at least 10 Vinyasa Flow classes before you come on the retreat.

LOCATION

The property is set in the idyllic village of Appleton-Le-Moors in the North Yorkshire Moors, UK. The area is known for its incredible scenery, picturesque walks and that priceless sense of peace and calm. Less than a 15 minute drive away you can find the beautiful towns of Helmsley, Pickering and Kirkbymoorside which are perfect for exploring local boutiques, tea houses, coffee shops, markets and more.

Room OPTIONS

We stay in a beautiful converted barn in a picturesque village. All of our rooms have their own en suite.
We have 1 triple room, 2 twin rooms (for people who book alone) and 4 double rooms.

Please note, people often come later and leave earlier due to work commitments. That’s totally fine. The property is only 1hr 15 min from Sunderland so if you do need to go to work on the Monday morning, then why not go straight from the retreat.

Please note there is a triple room with one fold out bed. This bed is £375.

A deposit of £200 per person is required to save your spot. Please note that the deposit is nonrefundable. The rest of your payment can be paid anytime before the retreat. *A WELLNESS SPACE customer is someone who comes to in-studio classes or events on a weekly or monthly basis. You may hold a Class Pass or a Monthly Membership with us.

Thank you so much. I think you have the right balance of breath work, I can honestly say I don’t think I could have kept up as much as I did during the yoga sessions if it was not for listening to your instructions and counting. I usually find myself out if breath but felt more in control over the weekend. I felt relaxed during the yoga sessions never felt that I had to try and keep up with the more experienced yogis and could work at my own pace. The yoga studio was special had a peaceful calm feel to it when you walked in. It was warm, plenty of light.

This was my first ever retreat, and I honestly can’t wait for my next. The location and house were incredible. Feeling secluded from the outside world, with breath taking views across Northumberland. The house itself had lots of open space for the yoga, a large kitchen dining space as well as different cubbyholes to take yourself away with your book, if you so wished. Yoga classes were led by Claire, who is an amazing teacher and allows each session to be as much, or as little as you want. We had plenty time, outside of the designated classes, to complete your own practice and ask Claire for extra hints and tips! The food was delicious with brunch and dinner cooked by a registered dietitian and ample snacks available throughout the day. I came away feeling both relaxed and energised. Thank you so much to Wellness Space for an amazing weekend.

Mum and I ventured up to Claire’s Wellness Retreat, much to our delight it was in the green rolling hills in the countryside. All rooms were beautiful and benefitted from en suites. There was a dedicated yoga studio. We enjoyed Vinyasa flow yoga in the mornings and gentle yoga and Yin Yoga in the evenings. During our break; it was fully catered; hot brunch after yoga (loved the butternut squash and feta combo as well as the hot Turkish eggs and beans) – all diets were catered for with lovely tasty home cooked food on the premises. Claire as a teacher is very special; she has a REAL passion for yoga and she was very inclusive whatever your level … would recommend to anyone.
