What is the Sunderland Wellness Festival?
A full day wellness event filled with movement, meditation, breath work, music, talks, prizes, stalls and more. The event will leave you feeling relaxed, refreshed and informed. Join us to try new things, meet new people, have fun with your friends and family, or to simply chill out.
Is the festival suitable for anyone?
As long as your over 16, yes. If you are pregnant, injured or less mobile, you may have to sit out of some of the more dynamic classes, but there are lots of stalls coming on the day who are offering free tasters, free mini consultations and free treatments, so feel free to go check them out.
I am a teacher/presenter/business owner and I’d love to get involved. How do I do that?
We love hearing from different health and wellness professionals and local businesses from around the area. Please check out our website WellnessSpace.co.uk to apply for a teacher/speaker role or stall for the next festival.
When can I buy a ticket and how much are they?
Tickets will be released on Friday 27th October. We have 30 early bird tickets (£65) and 70 regular tickets (£75). We have sold out the last 2 years, so get your ticket early to avoid disappointment.
Can I book a ticket for myself and other people?
Yes. You will be asked how many tickets you want to buy when you book. Please note that if you book for others, you will have to communicate any information we send to you via email.
What classes/talks are on?
We will release the detailed schedule later in the year. However, you can see the line-up on our website WellnessSpace.co.uk. This will tell you what classes and talks are on during the day.
How long is the event?
Registration starts from 9am and the event finishes as 5.30pm. It’s a long day but there are lots of breaks, and we vary the day between movement, talks, breathwork and chill time so it flies by!
What do I need to bring?
email confirmation of booking
your yoga mat
water bottle
lunch and/or snacks
sweat towel
warm clothes
blanket
any medication you take
Can I rent a yoga mat?
Unfortunately not. Please please please remember to bring your own.
What do I wear?
Anything that is comfortable which you can move around in. Bring something warm to wear for during the talks and the sound journey.
Is there anywhere to get lunch / a coffee? Can I bring my own?
Yes. The Street Food Coffee Co van is available for coffee. Plus Log Fire Pizza Co van is available for delicious pizzas. Also, feel free to bring your own food.
Do I need to book into individual sessions?
No. All of our sessions take place in the one room at the festival. Everyone who has a ticket to the festival can attend everything.
What if I don’t want to attend a session?
That’s fine. We have lots of stalls coming on the day who are offering free tasters, free mini consultations and free treatments, so feel free to go check them out.
Can I attend if I am pregnant?
This is up to each individual. Pregnancy is not a time to do anything you are not used to. The dynamic classes may not be suitable during your pregnancy and so it may be best for you that you sit these sessions out. Please note the breathwork session will not be suitable during pregnancy. However, all of the talks, T’ai Chi, Restore & Relax class, sound journey session etc. will be suitable.
Where is the best place to park?
St. Mary’s multistorey is about 2 minutes walk from the City Hall. Both the Bridges and Sunniside multistories are about a 5 minute walk. You will have to pay per hour for all of these car parks. If you park over the bridge near St. Peters Metro Station the parking here is very cheap for all day. This is a 5 minute walk away.
Can I cancel my ticket?
You can cancel your spot but unfortunately, we do not offer refunds. You can transfer your ticket to a friend or family member. Just send us an email before the event with your name and email and their name and email, and we will transfer your ticket.
