CLAIRE LORMOR

Thank you so much for dropping by. My name is Claire and I started Wellness Space in 2018 with the aim of creating a platform to bring people together through movement and wellness, and to create events that give you that feel good feeling.

I have been practising yoga for over 10 years and have been a qualified Yoga Teacher for 6. I love teaching dynamic, creative and sweaty classes; however, I also enjoy teaching calming, relaxing and soothing styles of yoga.

Originally a Scientist, with a degree in Physiology, my yoga classes have a strong emphasis on understanding your own body as well as enjoying your practice, understanding why you need your yoga (whatever it looks like) and having a bit of chill time. Through movement, breath work and meditation, my classes will give you the perfect level of yang and yin that we all need.

TAMMIE FOSTER

Hi Everyone I’m Tammie. My yoga journey began back in 2015 when I started yoga alongside my Dance and Performing Arts Degree and I fell in love with it from my first class. The community it created, the way it made me feel not only physically but mentally, the freedom I had to express myself as I was, it truly transformed my life.

This lead me to complete my 200hrs Ashtanga Vinyasa In May 2022, then my Rocket Yoga in January 2023.

My classes aim to create a safe space for yogis where they can experience the magic I did and find what yoga means to them. In my classes you can expect playful creative sequencing, options for yogis to explore and safely challenge themselves, mobility and strength work to balance the progression of flexibility, pranayama and meditation to compliment the style of practice or intention of class..

GEORGIA ROBERTS

Having a background in dance I found I naturally gravitated to yoga and fell in love with the practice, completing my 200hr YTT in June 2023. I love the similarity between dance and the style of vinyasa flow; how it allows us to connect with the breath and silence the mind.

For me, the mat is a special place where you can switch off the outside noise and turn inward, not only feeling the benefits of yoga within the class but also within your every day life.

RACHEL STEPHENSON

Hi I’m Rach. I split my time between Sunderland and the Lake District where I spend my time teaching yoga and climbing fells. I started practising yoga in 2018 as a way to find balance in my life and manage emotionally overwhelming situations. I have always enjoyed movement, dance and freedom of expression.

Yoga changed my outlook on exercise and that looking after yourself should never be a way of punishing your body but an act of self-love. I like to invite freedom into my classes, play energising music, mix up sequences and offer the opportunity to explore. I would love to see you on the mat.

CLARE GRAY

Hi everyone, I’m Clare. I am a qualified Yoga Teacher, Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer. I fell in love with yoga back in 2019 as I found it significantly complimented my gym and training sessions. I love all styles of yoga but really love Vinyasa Flow and creative styles of the practice. Come join me at Wellness Space for Sweat & Stretch, where I will blend a fitness session with some deep stretching and yoga.

BETHANY DEMELZA

I’m Bethany. I have been practicing yoga for ten years and during this time the true benefits of yoga really shone through where it changed my life in so many ways. I am able to connect to myself, truly come home to my body and set myself free. As soon as I started yoga I knew then that I needed to share this magic with others and that’s why I completed my Yoga Teacher Training in 2019.

Inspired by music, dance and movement, I also have further trainings in conscious dance, I like to bring an embodied flow into my classes, encouraging to find the freedom to explore and move the body in a way that feels right to you. My yoga practice is trauma- informed and I always aim to create a safe and supported space to release, let go and find that magic in you!

When I’m not on my mat, you can find me exploring mountains, dancing on a beach somewhere or by the water on a paddle board.

LUCY STEEL

I've been teaching for 6 years now (practicing for many more) and what I love about yoga is it can be anything you'd like it to be. It can, at first, be a way of becoming more mindful of how you move and breathe on the mat for an hour's practice but gradually the magic filters seamlessly off the mat and into every little moment. Each conscious breath and step awakening your inner and outer awareness.

I love to weave many layers of yoga and philosophy into my teaching, tailoring it to be what it needs to be in that moment. Teaching everything from an introspective yin practice to a functional movement inspired flow.

STEPHANIE THOMPSON

Stephanie discovered the holistic, wellbeing and emotional benefits to practising yoga many years ago. She loves to teach creative flows that connect movement to breath and help students destress from their busy lives and everyday chaos. Her classes combine lyrical flows and relaxation with a focus on flexibility, strength and balance.
